I am confused because it seems that whole forums moved which meant that even 'non-gardening' related threads left Cubits and came here. Now I don't know if I should even participate in them because it is my understanting that ATP is to be ONLY gardening related and I don't want to 'make work' for the cleaning process.

However, there are topics (particularly pet related) that I don't want to lose. Is housekeeping going to result in picking some threads out of forums to 'go home' to reside at Cubits in the future?

Good point Jamie. I wish members had to go through moderators before starting new threads or moderators and cubit owners review threads to organize subjects within the correct category. I frequently got lost in cubits cause it was like going to the dentist to buy a pair of skates and like pulling teeth to keep members on subject of threads in many cubits that I visited. I am just as guilty as anybody when it comes to socializing. Probably every forum could use a yippity yap thread so when members of a category want to chat about stuff off topic they have a place to go. Then if a member posts something off subject they do so knowing it may be moved to the yippity yap thread.

All great points. I know I will have to sharpen my moderating skills. If I slip up give me a nudge. I promise I won't take offense. Smiling

Well Lynn, it is not a matter of 'slipping up", it is just structural. Dave will probably guide the process when he is less occupied with the bulk of it. Then I expect there will be a way for moderators to seperate the wheat from the chaff so to speak. For example pulling some threads from ATP forums and developing refuge for them at Cubits. I am hoping we don't lose anything and expecting to hop back and forth but it can't be easy to organize. It probaably should not have gone on so long but for the legal thing that Trish and Dave just went through. I am just not sure if I should post to non-gardening threads that followed forums over, because that may make more work for the management team, yet don't want to lose them.
