We're in far northwestern Caliifornia (Crescent City), been here 9 months, and this is the first time we've had this bird in the yard. Anyone know what it is? I'm not quickly finding it online for birds of our area (Del Norte County)

TIA

Yep, northern Flicker. Thumbs up
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others.
