Glad you got here, Jan. Hope you will be coming to Boone, IA in May.

Cuckoo should be over too. He hadn't joined yet.

Now it looks like the only person missing is momof2d. And then we will have all present and accounted for.

Thought you dropped off the face of the earth; good to see you posting. You have a birthday coming up. Happy Happy!

Thumbs up yay! I Found my old Fav garden Forum! And the Diva Recipe file, I'm still trying to get used to navigating this site, but- I have to tell you all.....I am finding it slightly more difficult to navigate vs Daves Garden, I see so many familuar names on the MW gardening forum! SO - that said, for those of you who dont know me : I live in Des Moines, Iowa - in the fall or spring of 2011 , DH & I will be moving South OR maybe West , any where its warmer & doesent snow! DH wants to get away from the state with cold & snow! So, Were thinking TX , AZ....maybe Georgia, of course since DH is on disability & I need to keep working it will all depend on whether or not I can find a good job in those state's. Coming this Saturday I will be a 2010 Graduate of William Penn University with a diploma in Business, I hope it gets me a better job! This is why you all have not seen me on DG for a long time, Home work has kept me really busy, too much home work! On the job ...I do SQL queries for Mediacom in Des Moines, for Managers & supervisors plus I handle the 'free' cable accounts for all the employee's and for local Iowa government entities through Mediacom. Now about my gardening....well, my entire yard is very shaded - so I have quite a few hosta, and I always LOVE our yearly garden get togethers where we all exchange plants, I can always use more hosta! The other area of my home is along my drive way, this is where I plant the 'sun' plants , this area is getting crowded - SO - come next round up I should do alot of digging on the sun drive way area to un-crowd that driveway of sun plants. I tried to resond to Arlens's C-mail, but my navigation on this site has failed me, so Arlene , if you're reading this, I want to thank you for the URL's to this site (tho I found it accidently!!!) and for the B'day site, I'm still trying to find that site AND I am trying to find the C-mail you sent me again! Oh well, I'll get used to navigating this site soon I hope! My Kids will still live in Des Moines, SO - If DH & I move to another state this site will always be 1st on my list as well as the Diva recipe site! I'll be C-talk'n/C-messaging you all! Glad you made it over Jill. The GIGG in May will be close to you. . . Boone, Iowa. nannybee has been working on the plans and schedule and very soon, Larry will be writing an article about it.

For your Cmail , , if you scroll WAAAY to the top of this page, you will see a maroon tab that says "mail" . . . just click on it and you will find your mail. I'll send you another Cmail.

When you click on "cubits" on that same line (first one) it takes you to the main page of cubits and all new activity is listed there, including your Cmail responses.

Welcome, friend.

Waving Hi to everyone! Whistling I tend to not get to Cubits very often, guess I need to get better at that! Thanks for the warm welcome..

Maridell, thank you.. I think about our excursion we took and what fun I had. I've shown off my little kaleidoscope to all of my family :)

Hey Char! Good to see you over here..

Anita, I finally read your dmail.. thank you Smiling I'll get back to you, ok?

I haven't decided if I'm going to try to do any WSing or not. I did it a couple of years ago while I was still living in Oklahoma and had a blast doing it..used mainly gal milk jugs..had like 65 jugs all together. I wound up having about a 75% sprouting and had a garden with a lot of flowers I would never have bought for the garden. I don't think I'll have enough direct sunlight here to get the seeds to grow.

Better get ready for bed..have a good night, everybody

Hi to everyone here and to all of my gardening friends. My name is Rob but so many friends know me by the name Cuckoo. I grow everything(fruits, vegetables, native trees, flowers, and even lots of weeds!) but I am cuckoo about growing all kinds of brambles(like blackberries and raspberries)! I love to share my fresh harvests or share it in the form of some delicious jams or jellies.
I also love anything to do with nature and the outdoors, cooking, and people!
I can't wait to meet new friends here and also connect again with many of you who already know me.

Hi everyone! Haven't seen you in ages, either on-line or since the RU in 2009. Will try to make it again this year. Boone sounds like fun too. I have put the date on the calendar.

Handsome Man and I live in Nebraska southwest of Lincoln. Full sun, but some trees are finally getting big enough for a little shade on the north side, so this year I'll be putting in my first shade garden. Also moving the vegetable bed to a little cooler spot.

CJ,

Your avatar pic reminds of the pics Wanda (from DG) used to post from her garden. When I first saw your pic (with the statue among the flowers), I thought it was Wanda posting. Smiling

I get alot of flowers from Wanda and buy alot of the same ones, so some of her and my shots end up looking similar, too. I also have given her some things...
