It is in early May every year and we have lots to do. Arlene can help supply more info about where we need help the most. We have a pot luck, plant exchange, gently used garden items sharing, door prize gathering, speaker(s), tourism and maps info sharing, articles about the event, and other things I'm sure I missed right now.

There will be a more "private" forum for the planners to hash out details and a group created for email blasts for detailed planning info coming soon as well. We will still share info as progress is made on the Events and/or Chit Chat area, though. We plan on some articles, too, for those who have never attended to catch up on what they are missing.

We don't have it all sorted out yet as we are working this week on nailing down a date.

I work way too hard in the garden but enjoy the fresh veggies.
I am planning to take a year off, with the exception of tomatoes and cucumbers, this next summer. Have quite a bit on the shelf so need to eat up

Guess I'm not quite into planning much yet but know I will have to start soon.
We do plan on seeing everyone this spring. Just keep thinking about everything I need to get done before winter really hits here. We have nephews and nieces in Boone and have invited them but without a definite date yet, they can't give an answer, so it's wait and see.
We haven't any snow on the ground yet and I'm not complaining either, however they are hinting rather strongly that this weekend we should have freezing rain and snow, maybe 4".
Just hope the oil companies don't starve us out. OUCH

Hi, Jan! Glad to see you here! You're probably the closest Cubits neighbor I have. LOL Jan and I both traveled all the way to Iowa for a Round-up, where we met, and learned we live about 15 minutes apart.

Sure wish these things were in June, after school is out, and I have more going on in the garden! LOL Will TRY to make May 14, but it's a long haul for a weekend trip.

I kinda feel the same way. Maybe it could be discussed in May to make it later. In the past I was told we shouldn't be changing the date. And all kinds of stuff about June weddings & graduations.
