Hi, Dave! Hi Trish!

My take on pronouncing "Agastaches" is 100% unofficial but strongly felt.

If it looks like "mustaches", it sounds like "mustaches".

And I think the psychotropic salvia is S. divinorum
Diviner's Sage (Salvia divinorum)

It's fine if some poor unfortunates want to disagree with me about how to pronounce Agas-moustache plants, but if they want to disagree with Trish, well then ... they're just WRONG!

Whistling

I finally accepted that plant taxonomists were bound to disagree about names when I realized that Linnaeus had more versions of HIS name than a bamboo has runners.

Carl Linnaeus
Carl von Linné
Carolus Linnæus
Carl Nilsson Linnæus.
"L"
"Linn."
Princeps botanicorum ("Prince of Botanists")
"The Pliny of the North," and
"The Second Adam"
