I agree, Erythrina variegata ... and what a beauty that specimen is!! Our database only has a couple of photo's from a former member and the one showing leaves doesn't look like E. variegata to my eyes: Variegated Coral Tree (Erythrina variegata)

@plantladylin. Are they the same? The one in the data base doesn't have any variegation? Boy oh boy! I will have to go back to see this tree in bloom with "claws"!!

Cheryl, The plant in your photo's is definitely E. variegata.
I think maybe KAMasud's photo's in the database are possibly Erythrina suberosa: Coral Tree (Erythrina suberosa) which is found in Pakistan where he is from and I see he has photo's at that entry too. There's no way to ask him though because his membership was cancelled awhile back.

Hi Dave! I missed your earlier post with the ID of Erythrina x bidwillii ... sure looks to be a close match to those that were uploaded in error for E. variegata in the ATP database. I will submit a proposal to move them over to the correct location.
Cheryl, have you submitted your photo's to the database yet?

Dave, We could use your expertise. There are two in the ATP database, one the species and the other is the cross. Which entry do you think KAMsud's photo's should be moved to?
