The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

I agree And so very fitting.

Not a Bearded Dragon but a close relative from just up the street.

I didn't know they were on this island. Eastern Water Dragon Physignathus lesueurii. This one is at least 3 feet. It was gorging itself in grass cut by the local council.

Sorry Cinda. I missed your question. I think there would be more reptiles in the garden. This is due to the many skinks I have running around. I haven't photographed them because they are small and fast! @gardengus

Goodness, it is the middle of winter and these are out of hibernation sitting in the sun. No wonder my daylilies don't know what is going on either: none of the dormants have acted like it, too.

That day it was a spike of 21.5 degrees (71 Fahrenheit).

I too think the dragons are cool creatures
They sell them here in pet stores but I don't think I could provide a good home , now if I had a conservatory on my house Big Grin I could fill it with creatures.

That Eastern Water Dragon appears to looking directly at the camera... and posing. Fascinating. Great shot.

Water Dragons are great animals - and sooo big Carol. I notice I didn't say in that post what he was gorging on. These were mainly large grasshoppers that had been injured by the mechanical mower.
