You have such wonderful colors with all your daylilies -- sorry it's going to be a sweltering day for you today! We've had a little cool spell and now it's starting to warm up again -- supposed to be just under 100 today, though -- I'll take it!
By the way, love MIDNIGHT SENSATION and PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE -- and your CHORAL FANTASY is beautiful! Mine doesn't look as flouncy as yours -- the border isn't as full, but I do love the color.
No, the late bloomers have been blooming. I have been adding some to the Late Bloomer thread. But more will come. On the regular season daylilies they are about done. The plateau in back is really finished blooming and so is the snapdragon garden. Not to worry, not going to be stopping with the pictures anytime soon.
Rita, what camera do you use? My phone works fine for most everything, but it does not capture reds and purples well. Thinking with all the new daylilies going in the yard this year, I need a real, live camera come next Spring.
Hee, hee, hee. Raiding parties would be sorely dissapointed in the sorry looking burnt up brown folliage here from all our recent heat.
I don't think using a phone to take pictures would work that well if you want to have nice crisp focused shots. Get a real digital camera. They are a lot of fun.
Rita, my boss gave me an iPhone, which takes amazingly clear photos. It just has a problem with color. But, with about 40 new ones in purples and reds, I think I do need a digital for next year. Was wondering which one you use to get these lovely, lovely photos.
Both my cameras are Kodaks. I used my old Kodak DC 290 for many years, still do as the color is really great on it and very sharp. Hard to peer down and frame correctly thru the viewfinder as its not quite whats in the box.
These now are taken with my Kodak Z980. Took me a long time to get this right as colors are aweful on the automatic modes. Washed out like crazy. Plus the camera has this feature on auto they are so proud of that fills in the backround colors so you can't get the shadowed effects like on my first picture. I tried every auto setting and was never happy. So I use it now on a semi manual mode were I can get what I want.
I know there are point and shoot cameras out there were the colors are true on auto shoot but this is not one of them.
