when i really like smbody's pic i usually go to see other pics too - sometimes there are thousands of them! i can't possibly see all of them and then i might forget to come back.. and miss lots. it would be nice if i can select to view 'most popular' just like on database pic list: so the ones with most acorns/thumbs will pop first.
of, course i can still miss a lot, but at least i'll be able to see what others liked most.
and believe me, i find it totally unpredictable which of my pics would get most votes and some of what i think is best hardly gets noticed. so that is of interest to me too.
for now i only got a few pop-pics but even they are getting hard to find: i have to page thru all pics to figure out which ones are they.
if i could sort them by popularity, i can quickly see 'the most popular' - so may be i can take more like this in the future and improve my pics with time. and of course when i look at the best pics of others that helps me to improve my pictures too.
for smbody that posts lots of cultivars of one plant like day-lilies for example - it can be a good tool to see at a glance which cultivars appeal to people most.
