Nice shots Margaret! The ever practical me will ask how you keep the railing so clean. Hilarious! Hilarious!

Yep, your son will have them eating out of his hand in no time. Neat too, that with your son in the picture we really get size perspective on the bird.

Dave, nice shots of the pretty Mockingbird!

I just looked out the window a few minutes ago and noticed a couple of doves at one of the feeders and a littler warbler flitting from a tree to the fence but I haven't seen Mockingbirds in about a week now. It's really weird because like the doves, blue jays and cardinals, they are common resident birds here. I'm thinking with the time of year maybe many of the regular birds are finding berries and seeds that they prefer over the feeder seed.

Great captures Dave. I love the way the head is tilting/turning. Hmmmmm...... I had best get out there soon & put some bags over some of my dogwood berries before the birds eat them all. I want to save some to plant.

White-bellied Sea-eagle nest. It is up very high and it is made of of sticks and branches. The sitting bird refused to look down at me. Puny human.

That is one beautifully marked head on the duck!
Glen, our Ospreys build nests like that as well. It's kinda funny when they pick a cell phone tower to build their nest on. Hilarious!

Thank you. Someone told me where an Osprey's nest is on a telecommunications tower yesterday Ann. I will go look.

Australian White Ibis. Painful birds. Colloquially known as Garbage Guts in Southeast Queensland because they are very aggressive omnivores and scavengers. They are also nightmares for outdoor restaurants.

Someone feeds them in my street. In the last two months, they have learnt to eat the bird seed in the feeder. They also harass and chase the adult and young Bush Stone-curlews to get them to drop their food. I found these, breeding today.

Glen, that's so sad that the Ibis is aggressive to the other birds. I googled and your Australian White Ibis reminds me of our Wood Storks in coloration and size. We have a White Ibis here in Florida too but they just mosey about along the waters edge scuffling up the sand or they stroll through the lawn looking for morsels of food. These photos are from last year:

Nice photos everybody. Slowly the birds are finding the suet. We have a couple of Downy Woodpeckers now along with the titmice. A chickadee now and then and I saw a nuthatch out there a few minutes ago.

Lin, I like your ibis and stork. We have only one stork in Australia. They occur down here but are a pain to find. Black-necked Stork.

Baby Bush Stone-curlew thinks he is impossible to see. Normally, he is like this but I had been watching him from a window above.

Not much luck getting the smaller birds yet. I am going to remove the screen from the window over the kitchen sink so I can use that window for photos. I have a better angle from there for photos of this platform.
