The memorial 'memento cards'...(please tell me there's a real name for those, 'cause I sure can't think of what it is or would be) each had a packet of flower seeds attached to them. I thought that was such a sweet thought.

I'm way behind on this thread, so just picked up from the end.

Sherry, forget the grasses. The rabbits have eaten any of ours that aren't caged above ground. Some survive, but they are severely cropped. I'm leaving the cages on some of them to see if aging will make them less palatable, as it seems to have worked with the sysirinchium.

Glad you took the picture today. As usual, I forgot to get my camera out. It was a nice service - I'm sure Donna appreciated it, as the style was nice and personal. Perhaps I'll go out in the garden and think, "OK, what would Donna do?" (WWDD?) ;-)

Edited to add: I usually see the cards referred to as 'memorial cards' - but it might be a regional thing.

I was just going to check online...I figured the gophers would LOVE the sedges and didn't know if I could get them growing to the point of there being more than the rabbits would eat before they devastated them. I remember that you were going to be planting some sedges...That's really too bad, 'cause I'm liking the idea more and more. I need to check and see if there are any suitable similar grasses that for some reason or another, the rabbits wouldn't eat..yeah...snort. They don't eat my pennisetums, nor the Red Bunny Tails, so far have not climbed into the pots with my feather grass, but I've not planted the feather grasses out yet...want to. I only have two sisyrinchiums, but the rabbits haven't gotten them.

I'm glad you forgot your camera. I like to be 'taking' the pics, not 'in' them...lol..

Awww, nice to see Marie there.
I didn't really know Donna. May her soul rest in peace.

You would have liked her, I'm sure, Susie. Marie and Rodica came to our RUs several times, so they knew her from personal contact as well as online.
Must think of where to plant the forget-me-not seeds that came with my memorial card.

Donna was too busy and energetic to be 'resting'...lol. I'm sure she's building or growing something or cooking.
