I just looked at R. Reimer's new intros. He has a lot of beauties and he selects for rust resistance and some are sunfast. Sure wish I had the bucks, for I would be buying all of them. Check them out, see if you agree.

I agree At least three unique and lovely patterns I've never seen elsewhere before. Wish the one's that would have me saving pennies weren't dormant. Hopefully some in their upcoming generations will wander toward evergreen.

Is there a link to R. Reimer's new intros?

...Okay, found some of his intros on Picasa. Kind of hard to follow the pages on my computer at least.

Looks like he does only diploids and mostly dormant.
I like that he addresses rust issues. Wish many more would.

Does Reimer do any tets at all anymore?

He has some beautiful patterns! But I've never heard of Ron Reimer. Has anyone here purchased from him before?

I found this picture of SP interesting. You know every year there is discussion about getting the wrong flower...photo shopping etc. Just goes to show how different conditions, make different flowers.

Id never heard of Him, he has some nice flowers tho

He's a horticulturist who's hybridized daylilies for 25 years, the last five incorporating patterns into his rust resistant lines. Seedlings were tested for many years before he would consider selling them, so this is his first crop of long awaited introductions for Fall 2015.

Well you have my attention with the rust resistant part. I know Tim Herrington also concentrates on rust, as well.

He does but the name didn't ring any bells for me. Certainly got my attention though!

Reimer does some serious culling if you look at the "before" and "after" pics of seedlings.

Looks like only about 1 in 50 is left standing.

There are no registrations in the AHS date base, only some reserve names.

He is listing them as Fall 2015 introductions so they may not yet be registered.

I discovered recently (through James) that not all of the 2014 intros are even listed in the AHS Database. I was all excited about the name BABY'S GOT BLUE EYES from the Elton John song "Blue Eyes," and then to my great disappointment James informed me that one of Jamie Gossard's 2014 intros is named BABY'S GOT BLUE EYES and that he actually has the plant. So now I'm pretty disappointed with the AHS Database. I still think it's wonderful -- just not totally reliable anymore!

Here is the link to Baby's Got Blue Eyes: http://www.daylilies.org/Dayli... I

t is actually one of Diana's - not Jamie's ( a double.) If a hybridizer registers it, it will eventually appear in the DB! The next upload will have a lot of the recent introductions, but that will not take place until sometime after Nov. 1. Also, the cutoff for 2014 Registrations is November 1 of this year. Anything registered after Nov. 1 will be a 2015 registration.

Now that I really don't understand -- I type it in exactly as the registration shows, and every time it says "No Results Found" ??? What am I doing wrong?

It is better to type in only part of the word(s) in some cases, because names in the DB won't pull up unless EVERYTHING, including spacing, commas, etc. matches exactly perfectly. When you type in the full name, it must be a perfect match.

I typed in Got Blue and put "anywhere in name" and it popped right up. The current registrar taught me this trick years ago.
