I'm eating kale and lentil soup and a few saltines.

I am not going to mention the "ch..." word while Lyn is listening.

I made burgers instead of tacos. I take whatever ground meat I find on sale or markdown and mix it all together, season, then separate into portions and freeze. This batch was 3/4 ground chicken and 1/4 ground beef. Had all the fixings for either, but a sudden whim had me shaping patties and tossing them in the frying pan. The bun had been in the freezer too long, so I set it aside and chunked everything else up into a salad bowl. Twas yummy. Might be cool enough on Saturday to make some soup. Thinking Slow Cooker Chicken and Potato soup.

Oh, but that was just then. The night is young!

Green Grin!

For instance, next I had a peanut butter thing that says it's candy or maybe a no-bake cookie. Something my cousin bought a little box of. It tasted better than I wanted it to so I may have to eat another one. Whistling

How kind, Kyla.

You can mention the "ch..." word. I've decided that chocolate is a mythical food for the gardening gods. Since I am a novice gardener, I don't qualify and can't even think about having any ... Hilarious!

I am going to go eat an over-priced apple.

Smiles,

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

I just walked up to the store to replace the Halloween candy I've eaten. And of course they're having a sale, so of course I stocked up on a couple favorites....

I give the kids money these days. I always wind up buying too much candy and then eating it ALL.

I don't have the money this year to get candy, so my porch will be dark and I will be in the back of the house with a book. Which is a real good thing for me because I'd be doing the same thing as you, Kyla. Rolling on the floor laughing

Have spaghetti noodles cooking, When done and drained, throwing them in a pot with some previously cooked and shredded chicken, half a can of chicken broth, a bit of lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, a few small leaves of oregano, a sprig of lemon Thyme, a tiny bit of black pepper, and (maybe) some chopped fresh tomato.

Hilarious!

Halloween candy: DD and I were just debating whether we should leave the porch light on or off this year. If on, then we need to go out and buy candy--and then we'd have to eat the leftovers! Whistling

This is the first year DD is not going trick or treating. Big milestone for us!

Aw!

Well, I've "hid out" most Halloweens in recent years, but this year I am here and it's a rather old-fashioned neighborhood in some ways, and my cousin does participate. She often leaves and goes to her brother's house where there is a neighborhood thing (they have two boys) but in that case she leaves her trick-or-treat offerings with our neighbor. So, if I choose to hide out this year, I am welcome to but I kind of think I might go ahead and play. For a change.

:)

Can be fun. My neighborhood has a lot of young families and the kids are so cute coming to the door. But I have also made a lot of changes to my front yard where it is virtually ALL garden. Don't want anyone walking on top of plants because they can't tell the things are there. Maybe next year I can line the perimeter with solar lights for some delineation.

I just polished off a little box of those "two bite" brownies.

There were a few too many.

But at least I won't be wanting any Halloween candy this evening. Green Grin!
