This is the third time I have tried to post this, so if it shows up more than once forgive me, don't know what the problem is.
This is the third plant my neighbor needs and ID for , it is less that two feet tall.
I could be way out, but this looks like a young plant of Strelitzia nicolai. The leaves are broader than S. reginae. I've grown both from seed but they will not tolerate lower than -5C in a greenhouse.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now. (-Unknown)

Try to be more valuable than a bad example.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
I'll have to get back with you on how long it has been in the ground, my neighbor thought it was something I had given her, but I have never had a plant like that. So I'll have to check back with her and see if she knows how long it has been in the ground. Thanks everyone.
