I am enthusiastic about all the ideas for new forums that people have brought, and we have created quite a few forums over the past couple days.

At this point, I'd like to take a short break from creating new forums (*), and try to build up this community and grow our active membership a bit before we create any more. Creating too many forums too early will segregate the members from each other too much and spread ourselves out way too thin, and that's not good for anybody.

So, my proposal is that for now we utilize the forums that we now have, and for topics that don't have a specific forum, let's use the "All Things Gardening" forum. That forum is a catch-all forum for any gardening topic not already specifically covered by a forum.

If that forum starts to get a lot of threads about a certain subject, then we will, of course, create a new forum for that topic.

* Exceptions can be made, of course, especially for those who still want to move something over from Cubits.org.

I'm already immersed too deeply. I checked this thread again to see if we were past the "slow down for a while phase" ...
...
was that only yesterday?

Funny that, even though 99.9% of what's posted here must have already been in cubits, it LOOKS LIKE so much more, here.

What would the appropos variation on "divide and conquer" be?

Come together and thrive?

Good luck Dave, and catch up on your sleep. Has anyone mentined what a smooth and RICH rollout it was? BOOM and its there! Like a skyrocket/fireworks.

Thanks, Corey!

The two things that we kept saying while we were rolling this over in our minds was:

"the sum of the parts is greater than the whole"

and

Synergy!

I think it shows! We can do a lot together!

You're very welcome, and thank YOU! Most software rollouts include lengthy periods when nothing works in either system, and then days or weeks of frustration. You seem to have skipped that part! Be very proud.

You should receieve ballcaps or Tee shirts, at least. Were any champagne bottles harmed in launching this pleasure cruise? I hope so!

>> "the sum of the parts is greater than the whole"

>> Synergy!

Or like new stars and galaxies coalescing. If they are tooo diffuse, they just float around as thin cold gas and there's nothing to see or do. But once they condense "enough", they attract even more matter in escalating feedback and put out ever more heat and light, until fusion begins and brand new elements are born.

And so to bed!
