This is my 25 year old mother fiddle leaf ficus, the donor plant for my air-divisions. She is still outside but will have to come inside next week before the weather turns too cold. The small ones were grown from seed and are 12-18" tall now. They are about 9 months old. Notice that the seedlings are not yet that rich, dark green color. Their "glory-days" are still ahead of them.

When purchasing Fiddle Leaf Ficus, always look at their leaves carefully. The leaves are so huge that they are truly the window of the plants' health. If the leaves have a vigorous, healthy appearance, with an almost shine to them, expect to get a healthy plant.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
