Way to go, Sandi! Good trapping! I really wouldn't know where to put a trap, but maybe I'll figure it out later.

I read somewhere that they don't have great eyesight. And if you can "guide them" they'll go into a trap. I knew he was coming from around the side of the fence, up on that wall.
I would have used two boards on either side of the trap (in a wide "v") next time if we hadn't caught him.
Sandi, you didn't drop your little buddy off in Balcones, did you? One showed up last night and dug up a bunch of bulbs...looks like I'm out a couple of callas. Grrrr.
Nope! He's happily living on an acre lot...with no view....somewhere....that's listed for $425,000. However, DH saw another one go running around the same side of the fence a few days ago. They're living under the neighbor's pool deck. Too hot to think about setting the trap again.
The flower show's at Zilker this weekend if you're in town. There's also a plant sale too...
Sorry about your callas. Mine are just peeking out and I think they'll be puny without good rain...
Most of the callas have bloomed out - there are a couple that are still just breaking ground, but I've been watering them at least weekly so the ones that have bloomed are pretty large.
I had 2 Carolina Phlox plants...one was in the ground and the other one stayed a big pot. Neither one did very well here, so I finally gave them away. I don't think they liked my yard. I'm glad they do well for you, however! Pretty blooms!

Sandi I need to drop by one night just to get a sniff of your brugs. With the heat so much is wilting (we have NO shade in the backyard) so I need to water daily to keep things even looking greenish. :/ I have a feeling I'm going to end up with straight plumeria and a few succulents soon since everything else seems to shrivel too quickly. Not good since I haven't been very motivated with a head cold.
I would love to smell them too!
Jane Trimmer, My DL are not done yet!
Sizaia Ptitsa clem This one is in the shade and seeming to like it.
this is a yarrow I forgot to label in the last set I posted
With our 100+ temps nearly everything here has wilted too during the afternoons. I'm trying to not buy anymore plants to take care of. The front yard is doing okay with perennials...not needing as much water.
Yes, and the older I get the more stressful it feels. We took the car into town today, which has pretty good A/C. But on Saturday we took the truck and the A/C was in the process of going out....whew! Now THAT was stressful!

It was touch and go on the ride home, but I was able to revive them by splashing water on their faces and finding them a shady spot to spend the night. They seem to be perking up, integrating into the group, and laying low for a bit so Mister doesn't spot them.....
