I cant believe I have started so early.
Just the two that are in a lily garden. There are problems in this spot because the colors shift from golds and wine to pinks and white from one side of the garden to the other.
The planters stand in the middle.

I am using Coleus RedCoat and Velvet Lime plus Calibrichoas.
#2 is closer to Friso lily and White Tycoon

You sure are getting an early start, Jo Anne! I think you have picked some good combinations for the color transition.

Love the colors Jo Ann. I also love the way you plan things out.

I use PICASA and select Picture Collage in Create.
I can drag the brush around the collage to determine how the colors match then the frames color is a good middle ground.

It has so much eye appeal and gives a real feeling for how the combination will work.

I downloaded a new color tool called Colorblind Assist. It is amazing how it gives you color names along with the color code. It has been helping me to write color descriptions of some of my plants.

Vallylynn That sounds wonderful. Its fantastic how many areas of help there. are when color editing photos.
I also use PIXLER. Both editing programs are free.

With this one you hoover the mouse over the area you want to know the color of, and it tells you immediately. The left side bar of this page is called Seagull Blue

Isn't it amazing. It is a little box on my computer (tiny) when I activate it. Then I can hover my mouse over what ever it is I want the color information on.

Still working on container combos.
I am probably going to regret this so early and when January comes and new catalogues are out I will tweek a few.

All of them are wonderful Jo Ann. My favorite today is the first photo. The colors are hot and exciting. Works for me today.

I dont have a seed set up here. I save all year to buy plants and can usually get a deal when buying flats of plants at local garden centers that offer them. Sometimes it means a flat of the same color but I play the "sweet old lady " card and can mix colors if I stay in the same plant variety.
The collages are deceiving but on closer look many of them have the same plant. This year I am heavy on Calabricoas.
I do send RosyDawn a large order for coleus.

To funny Jo Ann my sister would say she play the little ole lady card too! Hey, what ever works. Is RosyDawn a ATPs person?
