I have four pods and two have cracked. I kept and planted seeds last year and the germination rate was good. I'm not going to save the seeds this year, but will give them to someone if they want them.

hello,
I'm surprised to see that no one has responded to this. Heck yes, I want some seeds! I love all flowers, its my therapy & a big part of my life. If you still have them, let me know.

thanks,
hollow

The Butterfly Iris (Dietes grandiflora) is a beautiful flower! I hope someone will add information to the database regarding seed propagation. We currently don't have anything about growing from seeds (how deep to plant, light, cool, warm, etc.)

Actually I got a response via tree mail almost instantly and I gave all the seeds away. That's why I went and marked it as DONE. Sorry I don't have more.

Welcome to ATP. I think you'll find offers like this from time to time, either here on in the forums for specific plants. At least that's been my observation. I'm relatively new here myself and still find myself wandering around lost and Confused at times Smiling .

Aka the 'Fortnight Lily'. It's a short lived bloom, but quite nice. I don't really know how it got tagged with that name! Fortunately I learned it as Dietes grandiflora from the beginning. That's always nice because I often have trouble unlearning things like that. That's a good idea to add that to the database Lin. I'm not too good at record keeping and not too exact in my methods a lot the time, but I'll think about it and try to come up with how I planted them last year. They proved to be easy to germinate and I got overrun with little plants that I then had to find homes for. I wonder how they are doing now. I only kept four little ones and they are still happy but probably need their containers up-sized.

I'm new here too and just now learning how to navigate & use the site. I love flowers and I'm always eager & open to trading seeds. If anyone has information or suggestions for me, feel free to send me an email.

thanks,

hollow
