I am going to post a few pictures from Val H. in Melbourne Australia that she posted on the cubits site here with her permission. I had asked her specifically about "Satsuma Charm" (Sue Stribley TB 2009) which is not in our database (the picture). She said that she did not have the time to post to two sites and that I could post away. Sounds like a plan! I will start it off with "Satsuma Charm".

I've got Spring envy! Next fall, I need to go on a pilgrimage to Australia (unless I go crazy again and have a bazillion Iris to plant)..... Sticking tongue out

I have been looking at them on cubits, but am glad that you brought them over to ATP Greg! Especially since I read this site much more frequently. Val has some very beautiful blooms.

Three or four of the cultivars in our database did not have pictures. She mostly posts there, but let me repeat (does that count as a re-bloom?) them over here.

I wish we would combine the two sites. I was for keeping them seperate when Dave created ATP, but he has improved ATP's Iris forum to the point that Cubits has become the "poor sister" and is redundant. There are a few people that still just do cubits and I would love to "see" them here.

I think it is way too hard to be on multiple sites, so I just do ATP and rarely go to cubits or Facebook's "Iris Lovers" page. Too much effort.

Cubits iris is my site, and I hope a lot of people stay there. Dave has imported all the pictures from a certain date to ATP. Personally I like Cubits. Dee co shares it with me, so any sales will be on Cubits.

I like cubits too. It is a different type of forum but has a loyal following that favors it.

I like the "two different site" concept, as well............for one thing, it "spreads out' the threads a bit, and, for another...imagine if 10-12 of us were all posting "our' bloom shots in the spring...on just one site! Yah, it would be an impressive show.....but you would be constantly mired in confusion .As to being "more work", ......when a person is making several hundred "clicks" a day (or maybe several thousand !) what's a few dozen more ? I'm sure that each of us is different in the way we "visit' the forums....some reading everything that's posted, some picking only those topics that they are interested in, and some following only the threads they , themselves started. Some 'check in" ,maybe, once a week, some only in iris 'season", and some several (or many !) times a day, all year long, and that's our prerogative.....to visit as much, and post as much, as we want.....it's our "option", so to speak...and having two sites to "visit" on, doubles those "options".

When Dave created ATP, he wanted to shut down the cubits site and move everyone to ATP. I was part of the group that favored keeping cubits. My plan was to just stay on cubits as for me, I can only give my attention to one site. Don't have time to waste visiting multiple sites. ATP has grown from its inception and I feel it is the best site for me. Just my 2 cents.
