My Cherry Appaloosa gifted me with a stunning bloom. She's in the family way at the moment, I'm waiting for a seed pod to ripen so I haven't cut it back and pruned the roots yet. Here it is October 29th and the high today was 87 degrees ... an awesome Indian Summer that will be abruptly ending very early Saturday morning.

Yes I was! She was crossed with Sun Showers. Can't wait to start them in late January. I also got seeds from one other H. rosa-sinensis cross:

Sun Showers X White Magic

And from a H. moscheutos

Luna Pink Swirl X Midnight Marvel

How do you start your seeds? soaking in warm water? nicking coat?

I have several Tx Star hibiscus seeds which were soaked in water but thus far, nothing.

Hibiscus are hard coat seeds - I take a pair of toenail clippers and nick all my hard coat seeds to where I can see the kernel inside the seed coat.
