Oh, if you like it, do buy it!!
These are Phals and at the next flowering the flowers will be most likely white. This crazy blue color is produced by injecting a dye into the roots.

Those have been injected with dye. Sorry but they won't re-bloom in that color and sometimes the plant doesn't survive the dye. Sorry to burst your bubble.

OK, you now know that the color has been "induced" and you will never see the color again IF it re-blooms. I agree with Ursula. If you love the color, even knowing you might enjoy it for only weeks/months(?), go ahead and buy the plant. This also might be a good way to introduce yourself to growing orchids. You can consider it "educational"! Whistling

Oh yeah, the Ti-Di-Bowl orchids (so dubbed by some goofball on that other site). Whistling

That one has really dark petals and the blue is only in spots, so when (if) it reblooms, it might not be entirely white. But it certainly won't have those blazing blue highlights.

Jmho, if you really want a blue Phal you can get excellent silk ones at Michaels that will last you forever and you'll just have to dust them sometimes. nodding (just razzing you)

Funny, Elaine, funny. Rolling on the floor laughing IF I had gone silk rather than "real", I could afford that cruise! Whistling

Just like those blue carnations --didn't buy it but it was a eye-catcher.

Yep, lots of plants can be "colored" with dye injected into the roots/plants.
