When I got home yesterday I noticed some of my caladiums have emerged again. To give an idea of scale of size, that pot is a very large one - 500mm.

It's 2 weeks off mid winter and this winter has been one of our coldest. Don't know whether it's just this variety that will do that. Most of the others stay dormant all winter.

Thanks for sharing the picture. I have a few Caladiums that will hang on with a leaf or few in the winter here (summer for you). I don't really know what will cause one to stay or come up early and others to come up late - I've had some come up very late compared to the rest, and a few come up very early.
