central Illinois
A wildflower in central Illinois, I thought it was a Heath Aster, but believe I may have been mistaken.
Flowers are small, appx a half inch across, many flowers; blooms in the fall. Plant may attain several feet in height.

It's probably
White Panicle Aster (
Symphyotrichum lanceolatum
)
, but
Aster (
Symphyotrichum praealtum
)
is another possibility.

Wrong season for that. Fleabane is more spring, photo from deep fall.
