I need some help please. I'm confused over where to put this. I got Narcissus Avalanche from Van Englen bulbs. This is the one I got:
http://www.vanengelen.com/flow...

I go to our db & it seems to me there are 2 of these. See:
http://garden.org/plants/searc...

This one
Tazetta Narcissus (Narcissus 'Avalanche')
Tazetta Narcissus (Narcissus 'Avalanche')

And this one
Tazetta Daffodil (Narcissus 'Avalanche') (aka Seventeen Sisters)

Are these duplicates? If not, which one should I put mine in? It seems both are called Seventeen Sisters as are the ones I got.

I need some direction please.
Thanks!

The 17 sisters Avalanche Tazetta div. 8 are the same. There is another cultivar named Avalanche but it's a div. 1 Trumpet and not part of your confusion. The 17 sis. Avalanches are the same, I'll rectify the DB problem soon. You may enter your pic under the entry w/ 3 pics already there.
Tazetta Narcissus (Narcissus 'Avalanche')

Did you know you can force them in water similar to Paperwhites (need 2 or 3 weeks in the dark under 50°, then reg room temp)?.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

This one appears to be more readily available. There are no photos of the other one, even in DaffSeek, so it may even have disappeared from commerce.

The other one in Daff Seek is a Trumpet daffodil w/ a single bloom / stem (certainly not a '17 sisters').

Thank you. I thought that's where I should put it but wasn't sure so it's always better to check with those who know.
Yes Jack, I had read about forcing them. The problem is that down here we don't have nice cool basements. There would not be a single place I could put them for 2 or 3 weeks in the dark & 50 degrees. Sighing!

My mistake. I saw that both were called Tazetta and both had the alternative name of Seventeen Sisters and assumed that both were division 8.
