Pat, I guess we all have limitations on what we can grow and what will perform at its best depending on were we live. You are correct about Washington State having varied growing conditions, short distances from each other. I am in Central Washington, the arid part, but thanks to the Columbia river, water is not a problem here. We are a semi-desert and like a lot of deserts, we do get many cool summer nights (50's -60's) not uncommon. Thank you again for sharing all of the above info.

Just reading James Gossard's web site. He has three pattern breeders that have overcome the problem patterned daylilies have with opening after cool nights. Hope springs eternal once again.

Mike Derrow is another favorite hybridizer. He is honest and a good guy. Real pluses in business for me and he breeds for northern re bloom (YEH). Mike is another who needs a photographer for his birthday. I'd post more individual daylily pictures here but I can't get the color right. Give me one of those photography guys also. Anyway a lot of Mike's daylilies are way prettier than their photos.
The best for me,
Charlie Dale - multi re bloom
The Tribble With Blue - multi re bloom
Transylvanian Tango
Butter Me Up
Badlands
Vision Seeker - muti re bloom
Adena Blizzard - multi re bloom
Adena Bouncer - Unregistered multi re bloom
All are great performers - all re bloom here in zone 5a some more than once - Vision Seeker is a good example of a gorgeous flower but you wouldn't know it looking at its photo
