No, but it's easy to create one using the Iris Database here at ATP:

http://garden.org/plants/group...

Or, if you are an emember of AIS and have access to the online registry, there is an option to "Search by Hybridizer". You'll have to both do a search for "Tom Johnson" and a search for "Thomas Johnson" to get the complete list, though, because some are listed one way and some the other. Also, the 2014 irises aren't listed yet.

The Iris Database here at ATP does include his 2014 irises, but there's a there's quite a bit of information that can't be added until the registry gets updated. Thanks to Brad, many of them do already have pictures (no pictures at all in the iris registry).

Lastly, you can also use the advanced search in the Iris Encyclopedia. If you search for "Thomas Johnson" and click the box for "Both body and title" and check the box for "All public webs", I think you'll get them all. It's hard to say for certain because you'll also get a lot of extraneous returns (basically, every entry that has the words "Thomas" and "Johnson" in it somewhere). There's no good way to search by parameters in the Encyclopedia as far as I know.

This thread got me looking into Tom Johnson hybrids and I realized I'm a fan of his work and didn't know it. Several from my mental want list are his, and 4 of the 12 I got from MAG are his, as well as the bonus they sent.

Heart of Glass, Love me True, Power Point, and Tropical Passion, and Howler was the bonus.

Those are five beautiful irises. Debra is going to share her Howler with me if it overwinters well and increases enough. I am looking forward to growing it.

Howler was a wonderful surprise when my box arrived. I had looked at it longingly, but since I'm so cheap and was mainly shopping for color, I passed on it (I had already given myself a limit of no more than $10 each, and Howler was $18).

Oh Neal, you have way too much self control! Rolling on the floor laughing I can set all the limits I want, but it doesn't seem to help when it comes to irises. It's hard not to be a fan of TJ's irises, he has so many different ones that there has to be something in that bunch everyone like.

Tom, I don't really have that much control, it's just been so long since I'd ordered Irises that plenty have been introduced and have dropped in price in that time. I love it that I can be cheap and feel really extravagant, LOL. There's also so many other plant genera I have to spread the budget out among, Daffodils and other fall bulbs, Peonies, and various other perennials- I'm a general flower hog, LOL.

Mid-America also has plenty of Paul Black's introduction. He started the garden in Oklahoma, but after several seasons of rotten weather moved north.

Yes, I guess we do all feed at the same trough Hilarious!

I was wondering how many of TJ's irises won the Dykes medal, so I did a search, looks like only one did, and that was Paul Black. But still that's pretty good to have one at his young age I think.

Tom - That first picture above is a "fun seedling of Haunted Heart". Or so says the facebook page!

I just noticed on facebook that Tom Johnson was named to win the hybridizers medal at the national convention in Portland next year. How fitting that we have a thread honoring his creations. I tip my hat to you.

I think that's a pretty nice award for someone as young as he is to have achieved.
