The first place winning photos in each category are now revealed, but voting isn't over! You now must choose your favorites from among them. The ones with the most votes will receive the Best of Show award. You have only 24 hours to vote.
I wanted to vote for them all. Then I wanted to vote for 6. Then 5. Then I got real stuck at 4. This was ROUGH. This was the only part of the contest I did not enjoy ~~~ the voting. Having to not vote for so many fabulous photos just plain hurt.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Dave, some people may not see this, I know at first glance I just thought the announcement of the voting was still for the general vote. Could you also give a system message to everyone like you did earlier?
I sent out the system message about the vote because we weren't getting as many votes as I thought we should. After I sent out the message, we got maybe a 30% increase in voting participation which was great.
With the best of show voting, we're not having that problem. Already nearly 50% of those who voted in the original categories have cast votes in the best of show. So, I feel a system message isn't warranted.

My problem is that I didn't even know there was a contest going on, so was too late to put in any entries.. not that I'd have anything worthy compared to some of these pictures!!
How could you not know? It's been plastered all over the homepage for days on end, it was in the newsletter, I spammed facebook about it, and I even added it to the navigational menu on the left side.

Ok, so I'm blind. Now what? And I don't get any posts from FB from ATP for some reason and I honestly never saw it on the homepage.. but I don't scroll down, either. 5 second soundbyte mentality here... if it's not on the top with flashing neon lights & BZZT! noises, I won't see it. (not that I have sound at work)
It's funny that there's another thread going on today in a different forum of ATP where we're talking about how hard it is to get people to notice the big red info boxes.
