I love this! I'm not familiar with it at all.

Is this hardy in your zone Susie?

It's kind of iffy Jennifer, it acts a lot like a biennial and I have to restart it frequently. I saved seeds from the original plant I bought years ago, but I'm out of those. There were still a few on one flower stem when I went looking, so I'm sure hoping they are fertile in case it doesn't make the winter. It looks like it's going to be another rough one but we already have about 4 inches of snow cover so hopefully they will be insulated enough to survive.

I'm going to keep an eye out for this. We have a couple nurseries around here that have lots of 'not run of the mill' plants. I may even be able to request it

Well it looks like there are lots of places in the UK that have seeds. The only place in the US is T's Flowers and Seeds

I got the plant from Colorado when I was there. The nursery that I got them from no longer sell them. When I start looking through my seeds I'll check and see how many I have. If it looks like I'm going to have extra I'll let you know. Smiling

Oh no Susie, that is not necessary! But thank you for the kind offer.

I'm sure I'll come across it at some point. It seems to be an Alpine plant. I'm not very good at keeping those types alive ! Scarce seeds would be too much pressure Rolling on the floor laughing

Also, I found out the common name is Sheep's Bit. I'm pretty sure my mom grew some from seed before. But just not crispa. I may try another version of it.
