Wow! Somewhere in all that there should be an upper case 'X' designating the division of the pod and pollen parents. It should be there, right? For the life of me I haven't been able to see it Sticking tongue out . It's sorta like those puzzles where you have to find the word. I was curious to guess how many seedlings he kept to use as parents. A lot, obviously. I tried counting the () a couple of times, but got lost every time.

It should have been between Eyes of Blue Sib))) and Gp-358n about two thirds of the way through. I fixed it. He must have an amazing number of un-introduced seedlings in his garden kept just for breeding.

Remarkable. A lot of work went into producing this plant. If I managed to get it right, he used 58 seedlings and only four appeared more than once. That compares to only 6 registered cultivars. If I'm reading it correctly, a lot of those seedlings are siblings to registered plants. That's a lot of tracking plants in the garden, on the pods, with the seeds and the subsequent seedlings. Too bad there's not a photo in the data base. Pod parent had 33 seedlings and 4 registered cultivars X Pollen with 22 seedlings and 2 registered cultivars (I know the math doesn't appear to work, but the numbers exclude using a seedling twice except one appeared in both the pod and pollen side and wasn't excluded Smiling . Trivia Green Grin! .
