Those are usually spyware. If you see that again, mouse over the ad, right click and click on "Copy link location" and then treemail me the link. I can then block it from ever appearing again.

I just saw it again. My right click doesn't have the option you mentioned, but I went to Properties and copied the URL. Is that what you want?

That was a little bit helpful but not exact. That was the actual ad itself. I need the 'target' or 'url' or 'link location'. Do you have anything like that when you right-click?

It did say Save Target As. I'll do that next time.

That will save it to your desktop. You're looking for "Copy target location" or something like that. The keyword there is "Copy" instead of "Save".

BTW, based on the link you gave me I see that the ad is for a smileys website that is not known to be a spyware/virus company so I think it's okay to allow it.

Nothing on my right-click like that. A bunch of "Opens" and a "Print" and some "Saves." the only Copy is Copy Shortcut. But as long as it's safe, I guess it doesn't matter.

Aha!! Gotcha, you little Smiley URL!

Is that what you were looking for, Dave?

I know you don't care anymore, but I want to let you know that my Firefox right-click has the link you told me about. I was on IE at the time. (I do use both for a specific reason) But honestly, I never realized they would be different. I guess not all right-clicks are alike!

Yes, that was it nap! That was exactly the URL that I needed. With that the process of blocking it would be greatly simplified!

I haven't seen the smiley ad, but I do see this one over at Neil's article. It won't let me right click anything that can be copied. And notice that it is in the middle of part of Neil's article. Very tacky. : (

Here is another in one of Neil's article. The ad is one that is used here but I wonder how it got in the article? It is a flash ad so can't get url but here is screen shot.
This is the article Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (Part 1)

I feel those ads are very distracting and inappropriate for Neil's article. What do either one of those have to do with gardening?

Okay, so I over reacted. *Blush*
On a positive note, maybe if I looked younger I would feel younger and get more gardening done. Rolling on the floor laughing
It's sure worth a try. Smiling

No, you didn't over-react. I sure wouldn't want to see an advertisement in MY article!

And you don't want to look younger. You are young at heart. That's good enough.

I dunno about that...the last time my car was broke on the side of the road I couldn't help but notice that I got more help quicker when I was 25 than I did now...
