Arlene I fell in love with this container! Luckily I do not have to be jealous because I got my very own log this past summer. But mine is not planted as nice as yours. I'll have to work on it. Congratulations, well done!

Thanks, Jennifer! I do it differently every year.

I found it on the beach one day in January and then went home, we borrowed a truck, and got it home.

We have many other pieces but two are solid and neither is as nice as the original.

To pot it up I use wood/bricks to get the height I need for the pots. It's both fun and frustrating.

Too funny! I did not realize the log was that big! That is even more cool! Mine is only a tiny fraction of that size!

You've got some really neat stuff there.

It's about 8' long and not heavy at all - just awkward to lift but it's in the courtyard and will stay there.

Some pieces have been too large to take home while others are nice accents in the garden. We got rid of the bird like piece (lower left) because it was too weak.

Right now it's just too cold to go out looking but lots of days in winter are warm enough and sunny enough (without any wind) so it makes for a fun time to go searching on the many beaches out here, though we do have our one favorite hunting spot.

There is one more and I don't have photos of it but we've had it for years. I'll have to move it to a better viewing spot.

Thanks for the nice comments, Jennifer.

You are welcome Arlene. You entered a bunch of great photos. I'm very slowly working my way back through the photos so I can comment on them.

You are filled with praise today and I do appreciate it!!!!!

I did enter my own favorite rose and it didn't get a single vote! That makes me laugh. The competition in roses is very strong.

Expect more as I make my way through. As I have said over and over in various places. I was overwhelmed by the number of entries. I missed several. They all in their own way were winners. I'm glad I have a chance to let people know how their pictures made me feel, even if they didn't win.

Oh wait, I won't get to see any pictures that didn't get at least one vote. Phooey.

Well, thank you for posting that picture here! It is stunning!! My favorite color.

You are very kind. I love reviewing the photos of all entries as well.

Thanks. I love it and so do the deer so if I can get one rose a year it's a big bonus.

I'll try and get a photo of the big one - looks like an oddly shaped fish with a burnt head. It is not hollow. Many kids (probably teens or young twenties) go up to the beach at night in summer to have a fire to keep warm and they try to burn these huge limbs or stumps of driftwood but the wood gets charred and yet doesn't burn.

I doubt Fed Ex would ship it to you, Dirt!
