Would you help me write a description for a new Iris? This Iris will be breed by Kent and introduced on behalf of Tom. It's name is "Himicane Tom".

Somewhat light headed, with a spreading habit, PBF (Pretty Big Fellow), Gray beard, wrinkled falls and not much wind in the sails!

If you add Tom to the name you can use words like true, reliable and generous along with all the terms you may use that describe a hurricane. .......just have to leave out the tutu business.

and I guess Tom writes his own. Okay, so Betty, what's your description? We can't say, well though "Himicane Tom" is not feminine, he has 7 large beautiful buds.

Himacane Tom will blow you away. Actually we need a brief description from you of this fictitious iris, Kayleigh, so that we can add things like 'banishes the storm with its bright...' or 'darker than storms on the ocean...'.

Bonnie, I thought it would be very interesting (or fun) to get descriptions from contributors, including colors and such, and then take all contributions and put them together, and actually try to breed the Iris ... just like some of your wording. But then for breeding, that would have to be someone who has lots of Iris to work with. Then maybe the Iris could be introduced and sold here at ATP.

That little guy rolling on the floor laughing is so funny. I wonder if Dave (or whoever made them) could make one that spits out coffee or drink from busting out laughing.

I like this one more often than not I feel like that. lol

I don't know...I'm kinda liking the sound of Commando Cowboy! It may not be a favorite of the guys...but I'm sure it would be a hit with the ladies!

With a name like that you better give it to an iris with "out there" coloration, unless you name it to one that is all "buff" colored! (wink wink)

I guess I like the name because is my mind's eye, because of my love of horses, and enjoying rodeo, I picture a cowboy in charge of his horse, having trained the horse himself, whether cutting, roping or gaming. So I would like the name Commando Cowgirl as well. Then it could be nicknamed CC, or i.e. see-see, like look-look.

Good ideas are brewing here!!
