Does anyone know if this should be blooming now? I'm in zone 8B. Mine has new growth, but I haven't seen any blooms since last year. I planted it in my flowerbed back in October, and it looks nice and healthy, but it hasn't bloomed since.

Well, I'm crying! I'll just keep checking on mine. Hopefully I'll have blooms very soon.

It's right in line with its sister, Lemon Verbena, who's also right now putting out nice new growth instead of looking quite spindly.

Be sure and keep them deadheaded to keep them blooming right on.

Mine is now taller than the roof of my lanai. Deadheading is a problem, but it keeps right on blooming.....and growing! Hilarious!

Bonjour
I am saddened not to find this plant
Can not find it in France
I had a track in the U.S. but the shipping was too high
Cutting in a small Priority Mail ®
International Large Flat Rate Video priced box would be enough
In my small garden of fragrant plants, it would be "la cerise sur le gateau"
Good weekend

This plant originates in Europe! It should not be impossible to find. I will check with one of my plant sources.

This is one of the most magnificent plants I have in my garden. It never stops blooming for me, and the fragrance just wafts on the breeze.

I found this plant at the Antique Rose Emp growing in the display garden. I was walking through looking at all the roses and doing smell tests everywhere. I kept smelling this wonderful scent and thought it was some really powerful rose, when somebody showed me what was blooming. I couldn't believe it. Here in central Tx it gets mostly neglect and keeps right truckin'. I cut it down to the ground every spring so it doesn't get so tall. By the time winter starts again it's at least 10 feet tall.

I finally managed to root one from mine. This is an awesome bush. It's not a pretty shrub, but I love it. It gives me my fragrance during the hot, hot southern heat when everything else is gasping.

What I found out at Butterfly World where I purchased mine is it blooms here year round if you keep it dead headed.
It's my favorite fragrant plant.
I didn't know it was a verbena
Sidney

Hi,

Let me tell you something about Verbena...
Family: Verbenaceae (ver-be-NAY-see-ee)
Genus: Aloysia (al-uh-WIZH-ee-uh)
Species: virgata (vir-GA-tuh)

Aloysia is a genus of flowering plants in the verbena family, Verbenaceae. The roughly 35 species of aromatic shrubs it contains are generally known as beebrushes, with the most well-known being lemon verbena (A. citrodora). The genus is named for Maria Luisa of Parma (1751-1819), wife of King Charles IV of Spain

I have not seen this shrub in my zone 5 , but I have grown lemon verbena in my herb garden . It is an annual here and I don't remember it ever flowering for me. I grow the lemon verbena for the scented leaves.
Do the leaves of the almond also have a sent?

Very stubborn!
A gardener in Portugal sent me what to do 20 cuttings......2000 miles from my garden
Despite my effforts, I missed nineteen.
I installed the survivor under my sage "salvia microphylla"
With a bit of charcoal and dried blood, my survivor is doing much better
I am hopeful

Bonjour
My cutting is very well developed and it is ready to be repotted
I do not know if it should be wintered or she can spend the winter outside
before installation in spring 2014
I'm in zone 9
- 5 degree Celsius with a few days of snow
