Geoff,

I'd be interested in trading when you get your list together for this year. My dahlias are still blooming (finally) so I will not be digging for at least 2 more weeks. Given the drought we had this year and my stingy watering practices, I might have fewer tubers than in the past, but I've got my fingers crossed. From your list last year, I like AC Rosebud, Cafe au lait and Diva.

FYI, I do not think your photo of Peaches 'n Cream is actually Peaches 'n Cream. However, it could be Peaches and Cream - a different variety. They are often confused. The attached photo is Peaches 'n Cream.

Yours is a lovely dahlia and a sweet, soft color, Donna. I grew Peaches 'n Cream a few years ago and your bloom is much prettier.

I think there are actually 3 dahlias with very similar names, Peaches & Cream, Peaches and Cream Peaches n Cream, and I may have gotten it mixed up, but I actually don't have any of them anymore, so I'm not going to worry about it at this point.

Always glad to have another trading partner!

Well, the bags are in the crawl space. I was surprised to see many with pips as I was bagging them up. Hope that bodes well. I took one to the botanical garden for the in school teachers. I think they call it Century 21. They are teaching a section on the underground portion of plants - tubers, corms, etc. I had three huge roots of Karma Martin Swan so won't miss one.

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and I am stumbling around in the dark. Trying to figure out how to navigate, and respond to posts. I am a long time member of Garden Web. I grew dahlias years ago and am now back into growing them. This is my second year and I have over 90 different named varieties. I must admit to being obsessive. They are all from Swan island but this year I have placed orders from Dan's Dahlias, Cowlitz River Dahlias, and Lynch Creek Dahlias. I have played with collecting and starting from seed, and starting new plants from cuttings. I started cutting my plants to the ground about a week ago and plan to start digging soon. I joined All Things Plants because of this forum. I am interested in trading. I've never shipped tubers before (I've done a lot of seed trading), but I think if I ship similar to the way Swan Island does I probably won't go wrong. After I'm finished digging I will make a list of what I have to trade and will ship in the spring. Would anyone here be willing to take a chance and trade with me?

Welcome! CLC70. I used to be on gGardenweb too. I went there alot during the summer but the traffic has been rather slow lately. I would be happy to trade with you next spring if my storage of the tubers is successful. I have not have much luck over the past years. Perhaps, we should compare list come spring.

Mary, Karma Maarten Swan is a beautiful large white dahlia. I really like it this year. It did well for me and produced many tubers.

Welcome to ATP, CLC70. I'm sure many people would like to trade with you once we all see which of ours has survived storage.

I am more than halfway through dividing mine this year, and will definitely be interested in trading for some on your list.

My plant list still has last years dahlias on it, I have about 50 new ones, and a number of the ones on the list I no longer have.

It may be a couple of weeks before the list is updated, but I will let everyone know when it is.

I will be interested in a trade if mine make it through the winter. This is my first year trying to keep them so we shall see! Where are we making the lists? I can list what I have, but I'm sure there will be some that won't make it.

Is that where we're putting the ones for possible trades next spring, or will it be on this Dahlia forum?

I have added my dahlias to my list. Since this is my first attempt at saving them I'm not sure what the spring will bring. I have a few that produced a lot of tubers, so if they make it I'll give them away for the postage.

So do you figure March some time is the optimal time to discuss who has what? I don't particularly care who has what, but want to contribute to the ongoing mania we know as dahlias.

Getting Dahlia fever are you ?

I put up my list back in October http://garden.org/lists/view/m... (my ATP plant list just has my dahlias - nothing else) and I have been taking orders/establishing trades since then. I have already promised away quite a few. I'd love to see what you have.
