Hmm..I may have to try that..I just keep them indoors here, but they do bloom still, always around January here. But it is just too dry and so heat intense during our summers. Will see what my mood will be heheh.

I have some spent blooms, going to try if one of those will become a fruit later on as what happened to one of those I have, usually I immediately remove the spent blooms, so this time I will keep them intact and wait. Experiment time!

I don't have flies or bees indoors too, but somehow my other plant managed it..maybe an errant gnat or a tiny ant..who knows! But it is so tempting to remove the spent blooms Rolling my eyes.

Julie I love that color! Hurray!

Tarev = I like that mine bloom nearly all year round, they just don't do a large over all bloom except once per year, when ever they feel like it, I can't seem to figure out what the holiday is! Hilarious!

Yeah, pretty much summer here is zapped mode for the plants..too hot to bloom ..so they just hold it and wait for conditions to improve. And I just keep these ones indoors year round, to keep them safe.

That is funny, soon after joining ATP and you were saying these plants are winter growers I realized that our Seattle summers are very similar to their winter temps so they grow all year round (well since I bring them inside during winter!) Hurray!

Thanks, @gg5 - I'll be pinching it back soon so let me know if you want a cutting!

Mine only bloom from November to January. Even then, I have to "force" the cooler temps because of a mild winter. For example, this entire week the temps have been in the upper 60's and lower 70's! I'm looking forward to Easter cactus now. Hopefully, they will be in the stores soon! Hurray!
