I will change the soil, and try them outside for summer. We had 13% humidity today. Thanks

Since your humidity is on the low side, misting them daily might be beneficial. It's worth a try anyway.

Marcia, that's dramatically low humidity. Plants that hail from humid, rainforest jungle may just not be happy at high elevation & low humidity - a double whammy. Not trying to be Debbie Downer, but I have the same difficulty with plants that don't like high humidity where I am. It's not a factor I can control. I try to avoid buying those if I realize @ the store. Maybe a terrarium or other similar enclosure could help, if lack of air movement isn't an equal factor to battle in a setup like that.

My Christmas cactus has been limp for weeks. I put them out side in mostly shade. Misted them this morning and then when I checked and misted tonight they are standing up. Hurray!
The like the 90's and mist.

So happy to hear that they are doing better! Don't let them get too much direct sun though. It will scald the leaves.

I love these plants dearly but collecting a few colors of unnamed cultivars is enough for me. I don't need 3 diff pink ones just because they have names.

If I ever saw a completely different species than the Schlumbergera truncata (TC) and Hatiora/Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri (EC) plants sold in BBS's, I'd be very interested.

I feel the same as Tiffany. I have red, pink & white Schlumbergera and pink and orange Hatiora. That's 5 plants that I have to shelter in the winter, even in my zone 9a. I don't have a green house and an inside cat that eats anything green. While I don't want to give up the ones I have, and will gladly talk about them and post pictures, I need to set limits.

I understand your enthusiasm though and I do hope that others, who share it, will respond to you. Smiling

When they are in bloom, I lose control a bit, for sure! 17 pink ones does sound like a good idea then...

Hilarious!
Exactly how I feel too! I have 3 large pots of these 26 inch is the small pot - they take up lots of space, but
are sweet and pretty easy growing, as long as I remember to water, and not over water!
I have a very large pot that I mixed plants into - if I see a 4 inch pot at a nursery that I like, I'll get it and plant it in the large pot, or if someone gives me a cutting it goes into the mixed pot - many people probably don't like this idea, but I like having many different colors in one pot!
I tip my hat to you.

Just noticed the first buds on mine. Hearing that "I need more, more," voice in my head... still don't have as much as I did a few yrs ago from something munching on them while hanging in trees last summer.

I stuck mine outside, hoping the cooler weather will help, but our patio gets a lot of direct sun during the day, so it may not work. Sad
