got the solar cover on all the walls but not the ceiling yet. Have some good looking clothesline on order from Amazon to be delivered tomorrow that we will use to secure the cover to the top. It was quite a bit cheaper than anything I could find at HD and has great reviews. (Link below).

A little bubble wrap in the ceiling for now. We got down to 37 last night and with changing nothing else the GH stayed nice and warm and warmed up quickly this morning to 70 already, while 56 outside. Most of the sun is coming in the lower east side not the roof yet. So the solar liner is transmitting very well. It sure looks nice and I think once the ceiling is done I will see even nicer temps in there.

Am going to also add a flap cover outside over the door similar to what DRDAWG did.

The clothesline should do fine. I just used light-weight, pure aluminum wire. I can easily twist it with my hands around screws.

Are you putting the solar blanket material inside or outside? Mine is all outside (and now two layers thick on the two side-walls and top. I cut it out for the twin sliding doors and anchored that with the screws that hold the polycarbonate panels in place. Because of the close-tolerance of the sliding doors, I have that material on the inside of the doors. The flap is outside though and can be rolled up when not needed. I used Velcro to hold that rolled-up blanket material near the roof.

KEN we put the solar blanket outside on the roof in one continuous piece. For the wall panels inside we put it inside using one long piece for each wall and overlapped them. Then I put a roll down over the door- I liked your idea. Am going to use Velcro to hold the flap up like you did. We put some stick on vinyl insulation around the door and used a bunge cord to pull it tightly closed. All the panels are calked --and we have brick floor and foundation (our neighbors who have the same little greenhouse thought it was way over-engineered, but it makes it fun). For now we surprisingly have a huge amount of air blocked.
The clothesline has wire inside so we were able to twist and bend it nicely thru the drilled holes and it stayed in place fine and it is very strong. It really doesn't show much.

We are in Central Texas so not as cold as some places but we have had 8 freezes so far this year and last year we dipped down 22!!

You have done almost exactly as I did, except for the flooring. We get even colder than you and have already had nights/mornings of 22 (twice), 21 (twice), 20, and 19. Brrrrrrrrrrr

I have now placed another layer of solar blanket over those two sides and roof (one piece) and hope it will give me even more insulation value. I'm using 16 mil material.
