Five years ago we camped in our RV next to a gorgeous motorhome. Its occupants were full time RVers so their rig got a lot of sun --the exterior of their fiberglass unit was shinny with no cracks or aging. The owner told us he uses Fukken wax on it -a tip he got from a trucker.

You spray on, wait just a minute or two and wipe down. Easy, easy application. It contains a UV protectorant too and can be used on chrome, glass, plastic Etc.

We put it on our RV once a year and on all our vehicles too. It costs about $16 plus shipping. One (or maybe part of a second can) should do my greenhouse panels. Lightbulb just came on today - an experiment so maybe the HF panels will last much longer.

I think I need me some Fukken Wax because I just like the name.

The concept sounds, well err, sound. I use 2001 UV proctectant on my pool liner above the water line annually and get twice the use from it. The guy I buy my liners from said not to tell anyone or he would be out of business . I also use it on my hot tub cover and have extended it's life as well. My panels (4 years old ) show aging and will need replaced, but it definitely will be kept in mind for replacements. I plan to go to a GH supply in Lancaster to buy my replacements and want to use a triple wall polycarbonate at the very least.

Fukken Wax has heptane in it - a hydrocarbon which should NOT be used on polycarbonate.

Ok. So @Eric4home, where do I find 2001. Is it as easy to apply as fukken wax?

Didn't realize that problem with Fukken. Good thing I have not done it yet!

You should be able to find 2001 about anywhere that sells car products. It comes in a spray bottle like Armor All.
