Also, what soil did you use for those wonderful lush pots of pea plants?

I can plant them right away, and was also wondering what kind of fert you use?

If I have filled the pots with new fresh potting mix I never need to use any type of fertilizer. If I did need a fertilizer I would use a liquid type like Neptunes Harvest.

Wonderful, thanks! I'm guessing the potting mix you use might have some fert in it? Or do you mix your own? Alfalfa pellets? (they seem to be good for everything!)

Looks like those pots are about the biggest clay pots you can get? I see a trip to IKEA in my future, they have wonderful big clay pots for a lot less than Home Depot.

Might try peas in one of my Earth Boxes as well.

Those pots in my pictures are plastic made to look sorta like clay. Easily found in many big box stores or on line at Amazon.

I never mix my own potting mix. I just buy the bagged. Unfertilized works fine for peas. Never tried alfalfa in the pots.
