Jan great thread Big Grin almost impossible for me to pick one but since I have not shared any from Superstition Gardens here is my pic of the day. It was one gorgeous ruffled pink and I want a clump of it just like you see in the last picture. Drooling Drooling

Bead, Is that a seedling or a named iris? It's gorgeous!!! Drooling Drooling

Debra, that's exactly what I wanted to do, find something new to link to...but I had to stop to make dinner. So...after looking at the lovely Median introductions you linked I have to say that I really like the beard on Primal !

Primal looks like Glances which is a Blyth IB that I received as a gift from Keppel a few years ago. Look at it on the data base. A very similar beard.

Paul, good catch on that beard similarity.

Coloursonic is a beauty too, I'm just a sucker for those big fluffy brown beards! It seems like if it has a brown beard (a big fluffy one that is) then I love it! Rolling my eyes.

Paul, Glances looks almost identical in overall color too. Maybe not quite as warm toned as Primal, but that could be the lighting, and it has a bit of a blue/purple streak coming from the beard...but still really close! Nice!

Those are beautiful pics of Superstition irises, Brad !
We'd like an iris pic of yours just about any day, every day!

I liked Coloursonic too. Love how the Blyth irises are wide.

Rob, your little formula makes no sence to me! Sad I need the geek squad to interpret your process for linking.

It is for the url, Mary Ann.

First, you type in these characters exactly as you see them here:
[url="

Then you paste in the actual url after those characters, like this:
[url="http://www.beardedirisflowers.com/Thomas_Johnson_Introductions/WHY_BE_NORMAL

Now, close it off with another quotation mark and a back-facing square bracket, like this:

Next, type in the name you want to be seen. In this case, it is Why Be Normal:
Why Be Normal

Then, add a square bracket, a forward slash, the letters url, then a back facing square bracket. I changed the very first bracket to the curvy one so you can see the entire character string:
{url="http://www.beardedirisflowers.com/Thomas_Johnson_Introductions/WHY_BE_NORMAL"]Why Be Normal

Changing the first bracket back to a square one. What you see now should be just the words Why Be Normal, but with an active link behind them (meaning click on the words and it will take you to that page)

It is simpler to just copy and paste the url into your post. If you want a cleaner look or if space is tight, the other way is useful, too. Smiling

Brad - what's the name of that fabulous pink iris from Superstition?

Also - would you please post a link to the site with your own garden? I think I followed a link to it - somewhere.
It's so beautiful.
