thanks all! Smiling
I like the shape on this one very much! The blooms are not as large as those on the Irene Finney, but still of respectable size.

New from Cattleya Row out in the OC is Rlc. Randy Vick (C. Colin McCully x Rlc. Memoria Frank Main). I love the color on this one.

Thx you two, hey it's Sat night and true to my crazy obsession I am at home trying to get that slug that's eating my roots durning the night. I have segregated those that had tracks but I don't know what else to do to find the varmint?
I have both the coel species, though neither has bloomed for me. I like the combination in Golden Bug but needs more color.

thanks Jim! Smiling

Roberta, I had good success finding Slugs by placing slices of potatoes or apples around the plant. Slugs like to attach underneath those and so can be disposed.

Yes, Apple slices are good attractors. You could also build a moat around the plant using a cake pan. Then there is the flame thrower method but I digress.

They like beer as well. Maybe place a small cup, or cups around the plants he's been eating. They crawl in and drown, but at least they die happy. Not so with Jim's flame thrower method.

True, but with escargot as a biproduct, the flame thrower method has its advantages. Green Grin!

Not Jim here, but no, the RHS doesn't show it. I reversed the parents, still not registered.

In the meanwhile, I had split my Coelia bella ( Bothriochilus bellus) into several chunks and kept two. Both are starting to bloom right on schedule and smell deliciously mainly of Marzipan when the sun hits the pots.
If you live in my neighborhood, I would part with one of these plants. Warning, they get pretty big!!

And I mentioned the other day Gongora horichiana as a cute, almost miniature plant. I find that the armeniaca blooms/grows a bit easier for me, but I like this one too.
