I have pre measured packets of miracle grow. The sprayer they go in broke, and I just want to put it in a pump sprayer. Does anyone know if the MG in the pre measured packet, is the same miracle grow you scoop ( strength wise). Im trying to figure how much water to add.

I use the pre-measured packets for watering cans. Sorry I can't help you with sprayer type. But I do know that is the same concentration as the bigger scoop out type.

Same stuff. One tbs per gallon.

One teaspoon per gallon is for indoor plants. I use the one tablespoon per gallon for everything else.

Got it. When used outside, I make up 10 gal. at a time and to tell the truth, I don't even measure the Miracle Gro. I know by the coloration of the water when I have about the right amount. It's probably close to 1 tbs. per gallon though.

I usually go by color too and mix up about 1.5 to 2 tbs per gallon. I have yet to burn any plants with this stuff even at double the recommended amounts.

Thanks. I use it on seedlings, so I will just go a little lighter. Ill use the premeasured stuff in the packets for the sprayer, just put it in a pump sprayer instead. I would use the hose end sprayer it is made for, if they were not seedlings.

For my orchids, since I fertilize all the time, I use 1/2 the recommended rate during spring and summer and 1/4 the rate, fall and winter. Plumeria, flowering plants, and potted herbs get the higher dosage. This isn't just Miracle Gro though. I use six different fertilizers.
