Hello, I am Steve and I live in the NW suburbs of Dallas/Ft Worth. As an original Illinoisian I always loved peonies and vowed I would grow them here. I have a large piece of land and am determined to fill it with lilies, peonies, spring bulbs and whaveter I can think of! I am not sure of the total but would guess I have >100 peonies in the ground right now. most of mine are young but I love watching them develop as the years go by. I see many of my DG friends are here!! Sorry I am late to the party! Thanks for inviting me, Diann!

Steve, I didn't know you have 100+ peonies!!! I am so excited about the peonies blooming. Today, it was in the mid 50s and I was out planting and stuff. I notice some leaves sprouting up and there is a tag close by that said Pink Hawaiian Coral, but it's not right next to it. The leaves are dark, kind of purple looking, I wonder if it might be that "Hot Chocolate". Is anyone's peonies peeking up yet?

I will take pictures and post tomorrow. My daughter went to The World of Coca Cola and took my camera with her.

Lili, the new shoots of all herbaceous peony is that color. I can't wait till I see those little red guys streching up in my gardens!! ;) You are so lucky!
