I'll start! I had this wreath custom made and because we live in a not-so-nice area, I put it up really high on the greenhouse so it won't get stolen.

Melissa, I'm from Memphis. Where are you? So many nice places there are "not so nice" anymore. It's a shame. It used to be such a great place to live.

If you are close to the Poplar Corridor then you are pretty safe, and Midtown is great, also the eastern suburbs. I must say you are correct, it's not the Memphis I grew up in, but there is a deep love of the city still.

I live in Sherwood Forest near the U of M.

I'm afraid the only "decoration" my GH will have is the snow topping it off and the cedar trees that hang down behind it !

The one in my little "Christmas Village" is a bit more festive...

I love midtown! I lived on Eastmoreland at Avalon. The house was built in 1903 and was so beautiful.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I lived on N. Parkway around the corner from the Sears Crosstown building.

In that Galaxy, I grew up on Stonewall and Tutwiler, still have sisters on that dogleg and of course all of Mom's rental houses. Having six sisters, one you know: Cathy O'Brien. I have a sister and cousin on Carnes and of course more rentals.

Yep, Methodist is right down the street! Nice to meet you too, Bert. I heard they are going to make the Sears Crosstown building into condos. Seems like they've been talking about doing something with that building for decades!

That building is full of problems, but the neighborhood went down with it being empty. Church health Center is moving in so they can spread out instead of occupying lots of smaller sites on Peabody! Happy Holidays!
