Mary Ann, the red is just like the picture in that one. Teresa, the one with the green throat is a NOID. Like a dummy when I got that one, I wasn't interested in names, so I put the name tag out by the plant, and of course it dissapeared, and now I don't know the name. It was a different kind of name one wouldn't remember even if I saw it. But I like it and will keep it anyway. Ken, those are some nice ones. I added a bunch last year from Mariott's. I think he has some nice ones for prices that don't break the bank. Gives you lots of bonuses too!

I would be willing to bet that most of us Iris addicts also grow Daylilies. I do. Like Tom, when I acquired the first few, I wasn't interested in their names -- just their blooms. However, the ones that I have acquired in the past 10 years or so, I keep track of their names just like the Irises. I probably have ten or so varieties! Smiling

Beauties, all, Ken. Smiling Be interested to see any Iris seedlings you get.

Marilyn, move them to where they get afternoon shade if you can, and mulch heavily. I would not have nearly the amount of Daylilies that I do if not for the fact that the front yard is shaded during the hottest part of the day. The bloom might be reduced a little, but it will be better for the plant and better for you. Smiling

Lovely blooms. About 10 yrs ago when my children were getting older I started to get into flower gardening. I have
alway had veggies. I was given 16 varieties of dls from a lady that has now passed on. She was more into UFs and was downsizing her bagels as she called them. I didn't know that I should tag them, or that names were important.
I was just looking for pretty blooms. I soon learned about trading, and knew that it was important to tag plants.
The rest is history.
Bee Kind, make the world a better place.
