A newbie question. What's a ferny? Species, ... I had no idea there were peonies like that.

Mags and Ticker - beautiful! Really like 'Yachiyo Tsubaki' (Eternal Camellias). Those bright pink ones are my favs. You're both ahead of me - still waiting for my first ones to bloom. .....impatiently tapping fingers.....

tenuifolia is what we call the fernleaf peony. There is a single form and double form, I believe. They demand excellent drainage, more so than their hybrid counterparts.
