Anyone having a similar problem during extended wet periods. Drainage is not a problem since 6 others adjacent to this one are normal. Supposed to be 'Karl Rosenfeld'.Thumb of 2011-04-25/Oldgardenrose/ac987e

Lili, your Do Tell is great!! Mine never quite looks that good.

OGR, Usually by now I have blooms on quite a few peonies, not this year. The cold is messing with them more than anything. Brrrrrrrrr... Blinking

Weather has been a bummer here also. 80 down to 28, back up to 85., down to 33. Now looks like like 10 days of clouds and rain. Everything appears to be anemic. Good days to catch up on afternoon naps.

I agree with you on naps, OGR, but they frown on that work. Rolling on the floor laughing

My last day at work was May 31, 2008. Now I nap when the mood strikes me. When this weather breaks and the sun begins to shine, I will not have time.

Oh I know you are retired, OGR, I was lamenting my lack of nap-ability. Smiling But the sun is out today and it's not raining so at noon I'm going plant hunting!! It's all of 46 degrees out. Woo Hoo.

Diann, are you an air traffic controller?
I went plant hunting today even though it was cold and windy. I just got tired of waiting for the wind to stop blowing. It's 55 today and we're expecting 80 by Friday. I bet all those big peony buds pop open this weekend if we do get that heat. Just hope the wind doesn't frazzle the petals.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

It is 48 here today, cloudy, and windy. It's supposed to be 67 here tomorrow.... We'll see...

I love napping! But I grew up where we came home for lunch and nap and then go back to school in the afternoon.

Here are some of my peonies....
Blue Lagoon was a wally's world cheapie. It took a few years before I got a few blooms on it. This year, I got 26 buds!!! The stem is strong and the flowers are huge! Very pretty for a $5 plant.

No names since they were big box purchases of years ago. 3 for $5, I will not haggle over names.

I can't wait till June 4 and our annual volkswalk at Adelmans Peony Garden. If we are lucky the rain will stop for few hours that day. I'll take my camera...

I signed up to "sweep" the trail of the 10k walk (6.2 miles). For those that are not familiar with volkswalking, the "trail" is marked with arrows on stakes and color coded flagging. All this has to be set up the night before and removed in the afternoon of the walk.

Adelman's is just the starting point. The walk will also pass through Mid-America Iris Garden and Sebright Hosta Gardens (these are actually co-located). So lots to see and photograph!

Connie, that sounds like a fantastic trail! What fun that is going to be. Can't wait to see the pictures.
