He has some real standouts for such a short number of introductions. I am anxious to see what comes from his Arctic Burst line "Grandkids".

Roger's plants have done really well here especially All Night Long and Arctic Burst like both of those a lot and look forward to them in the spring. He had a couple seedlings that I think were his that I wanted... this first one was one of my favorite's in there seedling patch had ruffles, plenty of frill, and the color was awesome on it was just starting to open up when I was there so didn't get a lot of pictures of it. I think it is a work in progress at this point will be looking forward to seeing that one in April.

The other one was a Dark Purple with good branching and form, it may have come from All Night Long because the form and color were close but as a taller version it was very impressive growing there by itself Dad and I Loved it can never have enough good ones in that color.

Greg there was one seedling that caught my eye as I was going through them that could of been from that lineage it was gorgeous.

They are all nice! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! But I have to agree with the rest of you...I really love that last one! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby I'll be waiting anxiously for that one to be introduced!!

Brad, do you make the rounds of the various growers on the west coast each year, or do you alternate or rotate? Are you planning to visit Superstition this year? If you are, maybe our little 'field trip' group could meet up with you! I would love to meet you in person! Smiling

That last one was FANTASTIC! Got to have it.

The first seedling is pretty neat as well. Looks like there is a faint rim on the Falls, especially close to the Standards. I kind of like the tight ruffles on the Standards. I really like the way the bud in the bottom left hand corner of the picture looks like molten lava or liquid tar frozen in time. I just stared at that for like a minute.

I think the second Iris is stupendous. First of all, the shape of the blossom is superb. Second, I love the grey infused into the purple -- totally different from ordinary purple Irises. And the ruffles are a bonus!! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Each one of them is exquisite in it's own way. Maybe if Roger and Rick are still following this they can get us some information on where these flowers are in terms of naming and introduction, and also about the parentage Whistling ( Please!!! Big Grin )

Marilyn I don't go every year all though I would like too Smiling we had a great time in California last year and it went way to fast hopefully I can spend a little more time out there enjoying the scenery this year. I will spend the majority of my time in Santa Cruz but I am definitely visiting those guys and hopefully Doug again so would be great if we can all meet up there. Big Grin

The 1st one my favorite will not be introduced in current form there was something they didn't like either not enough buds or tight branching I don't remember which but hopefully it is a work in progress as gorgeous as it is. I think it comes from( Regimen x All Night Long) hence the substance and ruffles take a look at that one in the database it has produced some Awesome !! plants for Joe. I have been trying to get my hands on a piece of it for years now and finally found it. The other two may be future possibilities but I vote for all 3 Big Grin

Brad is correct about the first seedling. It is indeed "Regimen" X "All Night Long". This one they are still evaluating as it is a slow increasing cross.

Seedling number 2 is moving forward and has been lined out in the fields for further evaluation. They may intro in 2016 or 2017 if it makes the cut (so they still have not decided if it is worthy yet). Parentage is unknown as it comes from a seed "jumble". I guess accidents do happen. Blinking Even with that "issue"; they are very sure that it either is from the "Hollywood Nights" // "All Night Long" lines.

Seedling number 3; the one we all were falling all over ourselves about has been destroyed! It did not meet their quality standards. This just goes to show that the bloom might look AMAZING but the other characteristics (bud count, hardiness, stalk form, flower form, increase speed) have a huge influence on if a plant gets introduced. It was a "grandkid" of "Arctic Burst" and this portends great things I think for this lineage moving forward. Seedling number 3 was "Magic Happens" X "Brainstorm"

I should be receiving Roger's 'Above all the Lights' this summer as I won it as a door prize. Rather fitting to have of Roger's. I have 'All Night Long' and 'Arctic Burst', already.

I have Brainstorm (not bloomed yet) and Hollywood Nights. Smiling The latter didn't bloom this year. Looking forward to seeing it next year as I have a new-to-me camera that does a nice job capturing purples and blues. Thumbs up

The maiden bloom of "Hollywood Nights" should open in my garden tomorrow, right next to the maiden bloom of Golden Panther, which opened 2 blossoms today. The form of GP is simply exquisite! I'll try to get a photo of them together tomorrow.

I have most of my Duncan cultivars. I plan on doing an inventory soon, but hard to say.I may have lost a couple. I would like to have all but Shakedown. I think "Go West" might have "bit the dust".

I got the new introduction Outside The Lines this year. Kind of as a tribute to him, but also it's a really nice one.
