Thanks Linda! Unfortunately I haven't had the time to play around with any cement projects the last few years, but I'll be looking forward to see what you come up with!

I remember this article when it first came out, just so lovely and creative. I was wondering about the paints you used and how they have held up for you. Such beautiful colors you used.

Very pretty and what a great tutorial! Even though I doubt that I would ever be ambitious enough to make garden art like this, I love having it in my garden.

Holly, I just use acrylic craft paints (mostly Folk Art brand), and then I seal them with Behr Wet-Look Sealer. I don't use the painted ones for birdbaths because if water sits in them it will eventually mess up the sealer and paint, and birds bathing tend to scratch off the sealer and paint too. I usually bring my painted pieces in during the winter, but some of them are probably 6 years old and still look good.

Thanks Vickie!

I painted mine with exterior porch paint and used an enamel craft spray sealer on them. The leaves used for the water fall have held up very good over the summer. I am thinking of letting them outside this winter and see how they hold up. They are so large and heavy to move around. Your colors are just so beautiful and I am limited using the exterior paint, they will mix any color I want but I have to get them by the quart.

Holly & Chris, I'm going to Lowe's to see if their Valspar, $3.00, samples (7.2 fl. oz.) comes in outdoor paint. You can get any color mixed. Leaves are what I'm wanting to try Hurray!
I tip my hat to you.

Let me know what you find out. I had gotten a few of those samples when I was painting one of the rooms and wondered if they did them in exterior paint. I know my local hardware doesn't but maybe a bigger store would.
